To the Potter Family- Sorry to hear the loss of your mother & grandmother. She always had a smile on her face. I remember every Sunday morning, she picked me up in front of Forbergs for Sunday service out at Trinity. Much appreciated. She was a sweet lady! You will all miss her very much.

I learned at a very younge age how special & giving Aunt Irean was! As a child my parents Millie & Albert took our family, Garry myself Janice & Peggy to the farm to visit! It was so much fun to visit my cousins Judy, Lorne, Jake & Blake It was the best time ever. We spend many summer holidays out there, going to Hardisy Lake, picnics & picking saskatoons & visiting other Aunts & Uncle & cousins close by! It was such a fun time & I will never forget how Aunt Irean spoiled us. She always liked it when John & I contiued to come visit her after she moved into Lougheed! We will always remember her snile & her kindness! She will be sadly missed by all. Love,
John & Joyce

When I recently told a close friend about Grandma's passing and how much I'll miss her, she said, "But just think what a wonderful guardian angel little Edward will have now!" (Edward is my one-year-old son). I couldn't help but smile. If anyone is a guardian angel, it's Grandma. And she was one here on earth as well. I am not exaggerating when I say that she is the sweetest woman I have ever known and she showed so much love and goodwill to those around her that it was as if she truly were an angel walking amongst us. Her love was unwavering and her patience was incomparable. She chose to see the positive in everyone and shared that joyful and gracious human spirit with all of her family and friends.
To give you an idea of how patient and giving she was, I will share one of my first memories of Grandma. I couldn't have been more than three-years-old at the time. We were in San Francisco because my father was in the hospital there and my Grandma had flown down to help out me and my mom. The streets of San Francisco are about the most challenging of any city in the world and I remember being tired and cranky and not wanting to walk anymore. I'm sure Grandma was exhausted, too. My mom said to her, "You don't have to keep holding Alexandra. She can walk on her own." But Grandma refused to put me down. She wanted to carry me even though her back was probably killing her and her feet hurt and she was tired. Because it wouldn't occur to her NOT to carry me. She had nothing but endless love and devotion to give and never stopped doling it out -- even when it meant not taking care of herself. She loved to love.
I will miss her so very much and I'm so sad that my son, Edward, didn't get to meet his amazing great grandmother. But I know she is at peace now and smiling down on us. I can feel her love even now. And I can still feel her reaching out her arms to me, ready to pick me up whenever I'm struggling. She is an angel who has always carried those around her and I know she won't stop now.
I love you, Grandma.

I was blessed with two great mother-in-laws.One of them wasw Irean Potter. She welcomed my 3 yr. old daughter Lianne, and myself into her home. She became a grandmother were quickly and wanted to be called Grandma.
I learned many things from Irean, mostly cooking and baking. because that is were my interested was.Everything she made was delicious. We loved going to Grandma and Grandpa house for meals.
Irean enjoyed many summers with us at Moose Lake. She loved campfires, saskatoon picking, boat rides, fishing and fishfries. Because fish was her favorite food to eat.
This is where her three great gradchildren got to know and love "great
grandma Potter".
Irean never had a mean bone in her body. She wss a gentle, gentle person, and always such a lady. She gave herself to the community in which she lived and enjoyed every minute of it. I so admired her and loved her very much.
I know in my heart the angels surrounded her in love and carried her to heaven.
Daughter-in-law
