Edna was an early role model for me as I grew up in Killam. Likely other young girls looked up to her too. We all knew she had gone away to become a nurse, had trained and graduated, and had returned to her community. She quietly served in so many ways. I remember being in her house as a child for "tea" -- in many Presbyterian women's houses in fact -- as the ladies went about the business of supporting their church. I was always in awe of her, yet Edna was so quiet, so sedate, and such a good role model. I will miss her being there for she was part of the Killam that I treasure in memory. I was glad my children came to know Edna and Ed's family. We all send our condolences. -- Doris and family.
