Obituary of Gilbert Tillmar

Gilbert Hugo Tillmar was born to Hugo and Bernice Tillmar at Hardisty, Alberta on August 29, 1941 and passed away in the Hardisty Health Centre on December 29, 2012 at the age of 71 years. He is survived by his loving wife Ruth; daughter Heather, son-in-law Stephen and precious granddaughter Georgia; daughter-in-law Kim Tillmar and Jeff and Cody; his sisters Eleanor (Ralph) Steffensen, Anna Milligan, Gail (Larry) Kobitzsch and their families as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends and family in Canada and abroad. Gilbert was predeceased by his parents Hugo and Bernice Tillmar, his son Shawn Tillmar and his brother-in-law Bill Milligan. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2012 at the Hardisty Community Hall with Judith Walker DLM officiating. Interment will take place in the High Mound Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Gilbert may be made to the Shriner's Hospitals for Children, Office Development, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607, the High Mound Cemetery, the St. Paul's United Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
