We will cherish the memories of our fun family gatherings. Whether it be Christmas, Mother’s Day, or Easter, they were filled with great stories; Thelma’s bowling accomplishments, her volunteering with the ladies where she made meals, her love for walking, her impeccable style, and her love for dancing. She was a special lady! Her smile, laughter, and spunk will be missed.
Thanks for the memories, Thelma! Rest in peace.
Love,
Monique Tourangeau and the Anderson family

I wrote paragraphs then realized one word will do. Outstanding. Auntie Thelma was outstanding.

Always my favourite aunt.....Thelma's spirit burnt bright with laughter and passion and I will miss her and her wonderful daily diary letters that kept us in the Alberta family loop. My first childhood memory of Thelma was with Bob in their little black beetle bug volkswagen with their son, John and maybe Marg as a baby, and their little black and tan dog called Fly. All through our family visits with Thelma, I recall her being beautifully dressed with her hair done, her heels or elegant boots on and a pretty corsage on her winter coat. Funny, the things one remembers! I remember her haystack cookies and her spirited laughter which remained throughout from the first to the last time I was with her in person. She will be missed.
