Val is survived by her son Gordon (Ruth), daughter Shannon (Larry) Keown, sister Dona Spinks, half-brother Geoff Schmidt, sister-in-law Jeanette Homan, grandchildren Mark (Carmen), JoAnne (Adam), Lauriston, Gregory, Shawn, great-grandchildren Jax and Nixon, nieces, nephews and their children, cherished friends Stan and Judy LaFoy.
