Trudy's family, my sincere sympathy. I met Trudy through Girl Guides, she was a very special lady. Trudy always had the right words to say, one I think of often, always consider Family, Faith & Friends. That has stayed with me through many times. Hold close all the wonderful memories of Trudy.

We light this candle here today, and will light one in our home on March 9, as many gather together in Killam, in memory and celebration of the life of Trudy. Our deepest and most sincere and heartfelt sympathy and condolence to you Steve, and your whole family, as well as the Killam community. Your family, the Haughland family, are such a part of our story too, the Ken and Louise Grant families. So many memories! Jam Tarts was just a part of your story, but I can see Trudy, and Rev. Steve serving us up yummy food, and coffee, most of all hometown hospitality, care, and love. Much love to you all - The Karen (Grant) and Jeff Grocock families

Although I only knew Trudy and her brother John from St. Albert, a very long time ago, and was a part of the "Sing Out" gang, I remember them both very well, and was so very sad to hear of Trudy's sudden passing. I remember that young girl (beautiful picture, that's how I remember her) very well, a generous spirit and engaging smile. I'm glad she lived life so well, and I know she will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
My sincere condolences to all of your family from all of the Dykstras of St. Albert.

Steve and family: although I moved away from Killam after graduating from college in 1990, one of the best things about coming home was to visit Jam Tarts. Not only was it a memory for me and my family because of the business it was before, but to see such a wonderful and thriving business also made my trip.
Even though it was usually just a “hi” and “how are things,” conversation, it made me,Missy , and the boys know that things in Killam were ok.
Trudy, you will be missed by many, including the Fees in Minnesota.
Prayers are will you all , take care.

It's amazing how one day someone can walk into your life andyou can't remember how you ever lived without them.Thats how it was with Trudy and me- 30 years of a wonderful friendship. So many memories- making candy floss together, working together with the girl guide-she even had me singing those silly songs and I could never get the words and a actions right and it would send her into a fit of the giggles! I am so grateful to have had Trudy beside me for part of my life's journey and in time my heart will smile whenever I think of my best bud!

Trudy showed us the value of time. She gave so much of her time to us. A gift of time. Every time.
Trudy held some of our deepest thoughts and shared our burdens. She was everybody’s best friend. See how many people timed their visit to Jam Tarts in order to get the Tender Loving Care that she served up with generosity. Trudy was a good listener, authentic and accommodating. “ When one has a heartache, we all share our tears” That is community. Trudy made a community in Jam Tarts.
