Obituary of Brian Allers
Brian Daniel Allers, age 72, of Strome, Alberta passed away peacefully on August 3rd, 2018 at the Daysland General Hospital. Born in Killam, Alberta on August 1st, 1946 to John and Frances Allers he lived most of his life in and around Strome.
Brian will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his loving wife of 48 years, Janet; sons Ashley (Tracey) and Conrad (Elizabeth); grandchildren Lyric, Deakon, Alyssa and Bentley; brothers Larry (Cheryl), David (Cheryl), and Paul (Bernadette); and many loving nieces and nephews. Brian was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all. Brian loved his family and friends. His greatest joy was spending time with his 4 grandchildren. He loved farming and was an avid sports fan, baseball being his favorite. He played and coached in Strome for many years. His great sense of humor and infectious laugh will be forever missed.
He was predeceased by his father (John), mother (Frances), brothers (Alfred & Jim), sister (Mary), nephew (Matthew), mother and father-in-law (Mike and Elizabeth), brothers-in-law (Ken and Andy).
A special thanks to all the caring hands at the Daysland Hospital for their loving care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to one of the following charities; Alberta Cancer Foundation, Stollery Children’s Hospital, or Strome Catholic Cemetery.
A prayer service will be held at Our Lady of the Prairies Catholic Church on Monday, August 6th at 7:00 pm. A memorial mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Prairies Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 7th at 10:30 am.
