Obituary of Rae Bish

Donna Rae was the first born of John and Minna Hoefling on May 18, 1938, at the family farm south of Forestburg, Alberta. Rae passed away June 9, 2018, in Daysland Hospital.

Rae married Douglas Bish on June 27, 1959, and this month would have marked 59 years of wedded bliss. She is survived by her loving husband, Douglas, daughter Peggy and son-in-law Bob Ruzicka, grandchildren Shaun and Janelle (Jamie) McDonald, Dylan Bish (Samantha Volk), nephews Jody (Louise) Hoefling, Jamie Hoefling, sister-in-law Elsie Bish and other family and friends.

She was predeceased by her father John, mother Minna, brother Bruce, son Cory, grandson Ryan, her father-in-law Tyne, mother-in-law Sarah, sisters-in-law Gladys (Raymond) Kemmis, Goldie (Dugald) McCallum, Elaine (Harry) Christman, Phyllis (Jock) Higgins, Donna Oberg, Bernita (Eric) Butt and brothers-in-law, Austin (Florence) Bish, and Wesley Bish.

A celebration of Rae’s life will be held on Monday, June 18 from 1 - 4 at Forestburg Community Centre. Please join with the family to gather and share fond memories. In lieu of flowers, and as an expression of sympathy and in loving memory of Rae, memorial contributions may be made to the Flagstaff Regional Housing Group - Big Knife Villa Lodge, Daysland Hospital Foundation, or to a charity of your choice.
