Obituary of Gerald Musfelt

Gerald E. Musfelt passed away in his home on May 5, 2018. He was born in Nelson, B.C. Canada on October 25, 1935.    He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Musfelt, his son David (Shelley) Musfelt, Kathryn Musfelt and Valerie Musfelt, stepchildren David Hanes, Chuck (LeeAnn) Hanes and Cindy (Colin) Johnston. He leaves behind granddaughters KellyAnne (Tim) Covert, Tiffany (Lynel) Trolley, Rachel (Patrick) Parkhill, Reanna Hanes, Peyton Johnston as well as great-grandchildren Mason and Silas Covert, Chloe and Paige Trolley, Patrick and Evelyn Parkhill.

He was the youngest of seven children, and was predeceased by his father, Albert, his mother, Elizabeth, his brothers John, Bert, Ken and Ron and sisters Viola McGinn and Iris Sollid and grandson Darrell Laverty. 

He joined the air force in his youth, and worked as an aero-tech engineer, servicing Hercules aircraft, and was stationed throughout Western Canada, Ontario and in Lahr, Germany.  He also worked as an auto mechanic, something that he loved. Jerry loved to share his knowledge and had patience and kindness while teaching others new skills.

Jerry had a passion for hockey and used to enjoy coaching children. He loved to travel and was always ready for a summer of camping and enjoying time with family and friends.

A private service will be held at a later date.
