Bessie Louise Pawlick was born on August 26, 1932 to parents Nick and Tina Pawlick in Thorsby, Alberta. She passed away peacefully in the Killam Health Centre on February 12, 2018 at the age of 85 years.
Bessie grew up in Calmar, Alberta on a large farm with four sisters and five brothers. She graduated from High School in Thorsby, AB. She met Anthony Schnettler in the Leduc area. After dating for a while, they got married on February 18, 1952.

Her gardens were bountiful and she enjoyed sharing the crops with her family and friends. She also became very accomplished in growing beautiful flowers.
