Obituary of Einar Svante Holmberg
Einar Svante Holmberg was born to Erik and Shirley Holmberg on July 21, 1965 and passed away on August 9, 2016 at the age of 51 years.
Einar was diagnosed with a bone disease at birth and was not expected to live past the age of 5; Einar however was determined to prove the medical world wrong. Growing up on the family farm outside of Alliance, he enjoyed an active life. Participating in 4-H, Cubs, Boy Scouts, swimming, hunting, fishing and he also had a love for hockey and baseball. Einar graduated from Sedgewick Central High School in Sedgewick and went on to study computer programming at Nait. After Nait, he worked at Coutts Home Hardware in Forestburg for 15 years until doctors recommended an early retirement, as his arthritis did not respond well to the constant walking and concrete floors. Einar then pursued his passion for computers, collectables and helped his parents with things big and small on the acreage. He enjoyed be it driving them to appointments in the city or scouting for deer with his Dad. He also enjoyed time with his close friends, be it a preferred quite night in or taking in an Oilers game.
Einar is survived by his parents Shirely and Erik Holmberg, his older brother Erik (Helen) Holmberg Jr, his younger sister Holly Holmberg (Tracy Smith) and his nieces and nephews (Sarah /Randy Holmberg, Gavin/Deanna Schuurman and Mikaela Smith).
Einar was predeceased by his Grandparent's Gunhild and Svante Holmberg, Jean and John Ungurain .
