Obituary of George Robert Congdon

George Robert Congdon was born in Forestburg, Alberta on May 2, 1929 to Albert and Helena Congdon. He was the youngest of eight children. George grew up on the original homestead where he remained until his passing on February 16, 2016. George is survived by his wife Norma, daughter Pat (Al) Stuber, sons Ken (Leann), Dennis (Carolyn), Dale (Cindy) and Lloyd; ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; and one sister Lena from Orillia, Ontario. He is predeceased by his parents Albert and Lena, his brothers John, Albert, Harold, Donald and Bill and his sister Mary; sisters-in-law Bessie and Hazel and brother-in-law Merv Winter. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him for his quick witted sense of humor, hard work ethic and his strong faith. Interment will take place in the Fairview Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of George may be made to the Fairview Cemetery or a charity of the donor’s choice.
