Obituary of Jim Bullee

James Leo Bullee born December 29, 1937 to John and Martha Bullee at Galahad hospital in Galahad, Alberta. On March 25, 2024 he went to be with his Lord and Savior. Jim grew up on his parent’s farm and attended grades 1-4 in a one room country school before being bussed into the town of Alliance for school from grades 5-12. He enjoyed country living, helping on the farm, and the freedom of riding horses and biking with his friends. After graduating high school Jim went off to Edmonton to attend Bible College and to work.  August 2, 1958 Jim married his high school sweetheart Dolores Reister. This union was blessed with 2 sons LeVern and Darcy. A few years later they were blessed with 2 chosen daughters, Charlene and Loretta.

Throughout Jim’s life he worked on many things. Being a farm boy, he loved working with his hands, repairing and fixing things. This included operating a Massey Harris business, farming, carpentry, and anything that needed remodeling. In 1993 Jim and Dolores moved to Red Deer, Alberta; here Jim continued with carpentry and renovations. After a serious surgery in 2005 Jim went to recover and help his son on the farm until 2018 when another serious medical issue arose and caused him to go on dialysis.

Jim and Dolores enjoyed traveling and were privileged to travel Canada, east to Newfoundland and the Maritimes, west to Vancouver Island and area, north to Yukon and Alaska, and south to parts of the USA. In 2000 Jim had the privilege to go to Africa on a mission trip, which he really enjoyed.

Jim was predeceased by his parents John and Martha Bullee, son Darcy Bullee, in-laws Chris and Dorthy Reister, his brothers George, Johnny, and sister Mildred McKenna, sisters-in- law Emma Bullee and Joanne Reister, brothers-in-law Larry Jackson, Mel Deitrch, Arnold Reister and Bill Reister.

Left to mourn his passing is Dolores Bullee (wife), LeVern (son) and Cindy Bullee, Charlene Neilson (daughter) and Lance Aloisio, Loretta (daughter) and Elvis Wiedmer. Grandchildren Rose (Steve), Marlena (Vladimir), Jordan, Jillian (Adam), Ahmed, Mariam, Saige, Kelsey (Russell), Logan (Shaylene), plus 11 great-grandchildren.
