She grew up in Edmonton and graduated high school there, after which she pursued and achieved multiple degrees in Zoology, Psychology, and Teaching, the last of which she pursued as a career in both Edmonton and Sedgewick. In 2009 Wendy returned to school and pursued another degree of Animal Health Technology. Education was a lifelong passion of Wendy’s, and she wanted to be remembered for her thirst for knowledge.

Wendy and Mel welcomed their daughter Christine into the world in 1999. Wendy will be known for her bubbly sense of humor, and her love of family, teaching and animals.
