Obituary of Allyn Bonnett
Allyn John Bonnett (AJ) (Smiley) passed away September 22, 2021 surrounded by his loving wife of 63 years Leona (Steil) Bonnett and family.
Allyn was born to George and Doris Bonnett August 14, 1937 in Killam, AB. Allyn worked at various place before he took over the family farm, then worked as an equipment salesman for many years selling for John Deere & Case/New Holland which had Allyn and Leona moving around to a few places while still dabbling in farming and being able to have a few cattle, where he got to meet many, many people as he did have a gift to gab and a sense of humor.
He is survived by his loving wife Leona, his 5 children, Donna (Barry) Elkow, David Bonnett, Susan (Brian) Hardy, Betty (Daren) Lien, Kathy (Vince) Warken, his 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild which were all the light of his life. Brothers Terry Bonnett, Norman (Carolyn) Bonnett, Don (Verla) Bonnett, Wade (Jacquie) Bonnett, sisters Bonnie (Eleanor) Hammond, Dorothy Calvert, and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
Allyn will be forever missed and cherished by his family.
A graveside service will be held at the Killam Cemetery on Saturday, October 2nd at 2:00 p.m. Due to the current Alberta Health regulations, the family has requested social distancing and the wearing of masks. Memorial donations in memory of Allyn may be made to the Killam Cemetery.
