Uncle Bert was a loving family man, a hard worker who earned a lengthy retirement, which provided opportunities to “be there” for his large family at events and gatherings. My earliest recollections of uncle Bert centred around family - his quick wit, sometimes colourful language, the half-smile and expressive eyes will remain with me forever. Rest easy Uncle Bert, you’re very much loved and missed.
