Obituary of Lena Christensen

In loving memory of Anna Magdalena Christensen. Lena was born on February 17, 1930 in Holm, Denmark to Wilhelm and Anna Magdalena Albrecht and passed away in the Lacombe Health Centre on June 17, 2021 at 91 years of age. Lena grew up in the bakery that her father owned and ran. She became a journeyman baker and later a teacher. When she met Ole Christensen, they managed a gas station in Copenhagen. In 1973 they saw an opportunity to move to Canada and start farming. They owned a farm south of Strome until they retired in 1996. Lena spent her remaining years at Big Knife Villa, Providence Place and Galahad Care Centre. Lena leaves to mourn; one son Gunnar (Anne) Albrecht, one daughter in law Kathy Albrecht, two stepsons Peter (Dorit) de Lange, Ole (Denise) Christensen and one stepdaughter Inge (Sandy) Christensen and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lena was predeceased by her husband Ole and her son Mogens.
