Obituary of Doug Forster

Douglas Allan Forster was born on July 27, 1942, in Killam, Alberta and passed away suddenly from a brain tumour at the University of Alberta Hospital on April 12, 2021 at the age of 78 years. Doug is survived by his wife Leola, their son Brent, Jeanette, grandkids Jayden, Kohl, Trey, Ryder, daughter Jana (Randy), grandkids Joshua, Xavier and Bentley. Siblings Fred (Joyce), Bev (Hugh), Pat (Doug), Don (Barb), Brian (Brenda), sister-in-law Jo Ann, brother-in-law Orville Fossen, sister-in-law Sharon Anchikoski (Rick) and brother-in-law Craig Stuve (Judy). He was predeceased by his parents, John and Doris Forster, sister Shirley Fossen, brother Bob Forster, sister-in-law Laurie Forster and nephew Mike Forster. Doug’s passions in life were farming and family. He enjoyed visiting, learning people’s stories and gathering with those he loved especially his grandkids. Doug left a lasting impression on people who met him. He was mechanically minded and adept with his hands. He had an innovative approach to problem solving and was always willing to try something new. Doug was a caring, generous man who will be greatly missed.
