Obituary of Marie Jones

Marie Jones was born in Fox Valley, Saskatchewan on August 20, 1934 to Chris and Naomi Griek. As a young child, Marie, along with her sister Ruth and brother Elsworth, moved with their parents to Lacombe, Alberta. Marie lived there until 1955 when she met and married her husband, Albert Jones. Marie and Albert moved to Lamming Mills, BC in the 1950s and lived there until 1966 when they returned to the Merna, Alberta area to farm. Left to mourn are her children, Judy (Doug) Booth, Dale (Nanette) Jones, Ed (Cheryl) Jones, Debbie (Terry) Skoretz, Rob Jones, Lorie (Kent) Zbaraschuk; fourteen grandchildren, Shawn , Angela, Chris, Kevin, Braeden, Dean, Dylan, Miranda, Tanner, Koltyn, Mickayla, Emily, Connor, and Kaylie; two great grandchildren, Alex and Xaviar. She spent the last four years of her life at the Killam Long Term Care Centre where she passed away on July 30, 2014. She was predeceased by her husband Albert Jones, parents Chris and Naomi Griek, siblings Elsworth Griek, Ruth Aab, infant brother Samuel Griek as well as one grandaughter Janelle. At Marie's request a private family graveside service will be held.
