Obituary of Gladys Christenson

Gladys Leone Christenson was born to Gilbert and Clara Swanson in Sedgewick, Alberta on September 28, 1925 and passed away in the Killam Health Care Centre on July 11, 2104 at the age of 88 years. She is survived by her four daughters: Carol and her husband Paul Hnatyshyn of Calgary, Judy and her husband Frank Deren of Athabasca, Margaret Yarmuch of Edmonton, Marilyn and her husband Crest Maertz of Sedgewick; ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; two sisters Olga (Emil) Thompson, Norma Hogstead and one brother Clarence (Shirley) Swanson. Gladys was predeceased by her husband Tormod in 1998; two brothers Ralph and Harold Swanson; one great-granddaughter Michelle Driedger; sister-in-law Louise Swanson and brother-in-law Alfred Hogstead. Memorial donations in memory of Gladys may be made to the Bethania Lutheran Church, the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
