Barbara Ann Swanson was born June 10th, 1947, in Hardisty Alberta, the youngest of 4 children born to Lloyd and Rose Cameron.  She passed away July 23rd,2026 at U of A hospital surrounded by her loving family.  

She leaves to mourn her loving husband, Dennis Swanson; sons, Kent (Linda) Swanson; Devin (Andrea) Swanson; Grandsons, Dillon (Sawyer) Newby, Dallas Swanson, Ben (Jesse Hall) Swanson; Granddaughter, Violet Swanson; one Great-Grandson, Tate Newby; Brother, Doug (Betty) Cameron; Sister, Arlene (Allan) West; Sisters in-law, Myrna Swanson and Irene Swanson.

She was predeceased by her parents, Lloyd and Rose Cameron; Brother, Keith Cameron and nephew, Steve West.

Funeral service for Barbara Swanson will be held on Friday, July 31st, 2026, at 2:00 pm at the Hughenden Community Hall, 16 McKenzie Ave, Hughenden AB.

Interment at Lakeview Cemetery will immediately follow the funeral service, and a time of fellowship and refreshments will be held back at the Community Hall.
