Emil Theodore Blumhagen, better known as Scotty, was born on March 25, 1936 in Galahad, AB to Gus and Lydia.  He passed away peacefully in Killam, AB on May 31, 2026 at the age of 90.

Scotty grew up on the family farm south of Galahad and received his education in Galahad.  He started farming with his dad and brother, Otto, after high school.

Scotty married Anna Lukens on July 19, 1958.  Together they lived and farmed south of Galahad and raised their two daughters and two sons.

Leaving to cherish his memory is his loving family: Deb (Mike), Lorri, Doug (Cathy) and Dwayne; seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Madeline Blumhagen; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.

Scotty was predeceased by his wife Anna; parents Gus and Lydia; siblings Dora, Martha, Annie and Otto.

A memorial service for Scotty will be held at the Galahad Agriplex, Friday, June 5, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Please join the family following the service for a time of fellowship and refreshments.
