Janice Lynn Friesen (Freeman) passed away February 21, 2026 at the Misericordia Community Hospital in Edmonton after a short battle with cancer. Janice was born in Drumheller on December 31, 1961, and she lived with her family in Lougheed. She loved cooking, painting, making stepping stones and miniature hoodoos of Drumheller. She was always up for an adventure.
Janice is survived by her sons David (Paige) and Kyle (Kaylin) and four grandchildren Keyona, Kovain, Kimberlee, and Korben. Along with her siblings Rick, Lee, Sandy, Sandra, Susan (Paul) and Jay (Darlene). She is predeceased by her mother, father and brother David. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and great friends.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
