Obituary of Bonnie Alice Brooks

It is with deep love and sadness, we share the passing of our beloved mom, Bonnie Brooks, born May 2nd, 1949, who passed away on January 19th, 2026 after a short and difficult battle with aggressive cancer. She left this world surrounded by love, and while our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing her suffering has ended.

Bonnie was a kind and deeply loving person who meant so much to so many. She had a gentle strength, a warm heart, and a quiet, sweet sense of humor that showed itself in her smile and the little comments that made those around her feel at ease. She had a way of making people feel welcome without ever trying. She found comfort in simple joys—watching made-for-TV movies, Days of Our Lives, and Wheel of Fortune, tending to her flowers, and spending peaceful moments in her garden.

Family meant everything to Bonnie. She was a devoted mother to her son, Dar (Darcy) Brooks, and daughters, Charlotte Brooks and Stacy Brooks, whom she loved deeply and unconditionally. She was also a proud grandmother to Justin Kelly and Robert Brooks, who brought her so much joy. Bonnie is lovingly remembered by Charlotte’s husband, Brian Kelly, and Darcy’s wife, Shari Rushton-Brooks, along with extended family and many dear friends.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who visited her, sat with her, spoke with her, and showed her kindness during her final days. Your love and support brought her great comfort and will always be remembered.

Bonnie will be deeply missed and forever loved. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, her friends, and in every blooming flower and quiet moment that reminds us of her gentle spirit.

Visitation will take place from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday January 31st, 2026 at the Czar Hall. All are welcome to join the family for a time of fellowship and refreshments at this time. A private interment will follow at the Czar Cemetery.
