Obituary of Harold John Haugen

In Harold’s own words:

Harold John Haugen was born to Inga and Nils Haugen, on January 25, 1953, in the old brick hospital in Hardisty, Alberta and passed away on November 4, 2025, after a lengthy journey with cancer. Harold grew up on the family farm adjacent to Lougheed which he helped operate to the very end.

He married Marilyn in 1981. Two children were born to them, daughter Heather (Corbin, Aspen) and son Scott. Beyond farming, Harold was involved in various endeavors including selling real estate, farm boards, and most recently served on the Board of Directors at UFA for 9 years.

As Harold wished for no public service, the family suggests in lieu of flowers a donation to a charity of the donner’s choice, Trinity Lutheran Church, Battle River Community Foundation, Haugen Farms Playground ℅ Village of Lougheed, or to a Cancer Society.
