Obituary for Jeffrey Robert Bexson
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jeffrey Robert Bexson announces his passing on October 20, 2025, after a courageous battle with illness. Jeff faced every challenge with determination, grit, and his trademark refusal to give in to the “I can’t” mentality.
Born on June 27, 1964, in Calgary, Alberta, Jeff was a B-Pressure Welder by trade for over 30 years. His passion for his craft and dedication to excellence took him across British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan, earning him respect as a talented welder, fabricator, and mentor.
Jeff was known for his sharp wit, honesty, and big heart. He loved Alberta, horses, dogs, children, his family, hot chocolate with whipped cream and sprinkles, and a good steak. He often joked that he was “allergic to politicians and stupid people.”
He is lovingly remembered by his partner Cathy Jessiman; stepdaughters Shelby (Chris Tunnicliffe) Jessiman and Navada (Ryan) Moore; granddaughter Hadley Moore; mother-in-law Judy Block; father Owen Bexson; brother Guy (Carmel); sister Waverley (Clinton); nephews Dillon and Jonathan Bexson; niece Falyn Bexson Quinn; many relatives, lifelong friends and beloved dog Tilley. He was predeceased by his mother, Bonnie Lyn Bexson (2022).
Cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring of 2026, with details to be announced at a later date.
Jeff will be forever remembered for his strength, humour, and unwavering love for his family and friends.
