Nathan told me the bad news.
I also attended Mission Secondary - and lost touch with Lisa after graduation.
While sad to hear this news, and such a delay, it did bring a smile to my face to learn she became a teacher.
She was so at home in the school community. I don’t think Lisa was in the “in” crowd. But everybody knew her and her contributions were appreciated, in all sorts of corners of school activities.
I lost my sister at too young an age. I’m so sorry we all lost Lisa way too soon as well.
My thoughts to all she touched and loved her.

So sorry to hear about Lisa-Marie’s passing. I went to school with her from Grade 8–12 at Mission Secondary. We had classes together throughout the years, but in Grade 11 and 12 Chemistry we chatted the most. Lisa-Marie was always kind, quick to laugh, and incredibly intelligent.
I had actually looked her up recently out of curiosity to see what she was doing these days- thinking she might be a research scientist or something; that’s when I came across her obituary.
My sincere condolences to those who loved her and are grieving her loss. I’m grateful for the years I knew her.

Hi Lisa, it's your cousin, Dion. I was praying for the family today, including you. I looked up your obituary. I was so sorry to hear of your passing, and though we didn't know each other that well in life, I was always so impressed with how much you did with yours in such a short time!
Please believe that I pray for you in the name of our Lord, Jesus and know your missed.
Amen

My condolences to Lisa-Marie's family and friends. Lisa-Marie subbed for me quite often in the Metals Shop at Rimbey Jr. Sr. High School, and we had the best conversations about teaching and just life in general. I remember the email she sent a few of us who had worked with her at Rimbey, about how excited she was to land her full-time position up north at High Level. Everything seemed to be working out for her, and then to hear of her passing was so sad. May the family, together with all of Lisa-Marie's friends, draw comfort from the loving memories they have of such a kind and compassionate teacher. God bless you, Lisa-Marie, and Peace be with you. So very sorry for the loss of Lisa-Marie from this world. I went to Prairie with her and kept in touch over the years. She was such an open-hearted and open-minded soul. I loved her curiosity and genuine interest in the thoughts and experiences of others, and the way she was open with her struggles and ready to reach out to ask for help. Even though it's been years since we met in person, I will miss being in touch with her, and I'll grieve the possibility of meeting her again in this world for one more hug. Sincere condolences to Lisa-Marie's family, students, colleagues, and all who mourn her loss. Gone too soon.
