He is survived by his loving common law wife, Cheryle, her daughter Sue (Darren) Dixon, granddaughter, Britney (Kyle), great-grandson, Karter, son Jeff (Brittany), two sisters, Donna Schulte, Jody (Norman) Matthews, one brother, Ken Schulte, two sisters-in-law, Millie (Julian) Stoltz, Ann Schulte, brother-in-law Don Young and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marvin was predeceased by his parents, William and Rose, 5 brothers, Jim, Gilbert, Lloyd, Paul, Orville, 3 sisters, Barb (Don) Young, Freda Coates, Dorothy Kurceba, and sister-in-law Louise (Ken) Schulte.

Marvin was a small town Alberta Boy who enjoyed the simple life.  There was nothing better than having a beer (Pilsner) and sharing stories with his friends. He worked most of his life for Graham Brothers Construction Group Inc. in road construction and was lucky to have Cheryle as his workmate since 1998 until his retirement.  Many of his fellow workers have many interesting and hilarious Marvin stories.

At Marvin’s request there will be no formal funeral service, however, there will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at 2:00 PM at the Killam Legion Hall.  There will be toasts to honor Marvin, so you are welcome to BYOB.  Lunch, tea, and coffee will be served.

Memorial donations in memory of Marvin may be made to the Alberta Lung Association, Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
